Here are the spacers and the center in the
rim..I left the origanal hummer center in the
rim ,it made it much easier to line up the new
center..
These are the 4 spacers I used to line up the new
wheel centers...I used the mic to make sure they
all measured the same length..Im sure there are
many other spacers you could use but this is
what I had avaliable..
I used feeler gauges around the edge to help
line up the center and I laid a bar all the way
across the rim and then measured from the
top of the bar to the bottom of the center to
get it all lined up...
After you double and trible check all the
measurments then I tack welded the center
in place.. If you want after you take the
center in you can take the wheel and mount
it on the vehicle and then spin the wheel on
the axle to see how the runout is..
After I was done welding all the centers I
used a sawsall to cut all the origanal centers
out of the rims...You can check out more
pics in the link below... The only reason for
this article is to show the poor people that
have some skills a way to weld the centers
in.. My wheels did not turn out perfectly
true but I just use the truck for slow
offroad fun..
